Pounta is not Punda Beach
The Antiparos ferry leaves from Pounta on the west coast. Punda Beach is on the east coast. Check the map pin before entering a taxi or accepting a transfer quote.
Antiparos departure guide
Ferry to Pounta first; the airport is on the Paros side
Every airport journey from Antiparos begins with a ferry. The shortest practical route is Antiparos to Pounta, then a waiting taxi or transfer to Paros Airport. Public transport currently backtracks through Parikia and is unsuitable for many early flights. The first current ferry is 06:10, which is an operating fact, not permission to plan a tight flight connection.

Road to west-coast Pounta, then a seven-minute car ferry. Through-transfer checks, the three-stage public route, late flights, rental-car permission and the final Antiparos connection.

Open guideKTEL requires three buses via Naoussa and Parikia, with the first Santa Maria service at 11:15 and only eight dated airport departures from Parikia. Flight check-in planning and when one confirmed direct vehicle is the sensible option.
Open guideThere is no direct KTEL airport bus on the dated board: change in Parikia, reserve a taxi or book a transfer. Exact public-transport departures, early-flight limits and the check-in margin that matters.
Open guideTime-sensitive timetable
The ferry timetable in force from 24 July 2026 begins at 06:10 from Antiparos and runs frequently through the day and night. The KTEL board valid 25 August–10 September has no direct Pounta–Airport route: public transport uses the 07:50 or later Pounta–Parikia bus and then one of 8 Parikia–Airport departures. A direct road vehicle waiting at Pounta avoids this large detour.
Our practical verdict
For a flight, arrange one through transfer or a taxi to meet the specific Pounta ferry. That keeps the road leg direct and makes one provider responsible for the timing. Public transport is a budget option only for later flights with a very generous margin. For a departure too early to be protected by the first ferry, spend the final night on Paros rather than inventing a connection that does not exist.

The Antiparos ferry leaves from Pounta on the west coast. Punda Beach is on the east coast. Check the map pin before entering a taxi or accepting a transfer quote.
The current first Antiparos departure is 06:10. Add boarding, crossing, road travel and airline check-in. If the margin is not safe, sleep on Paros the final night.
Pounta is a ferry landing, not a large guaranteed taxi rank. For a flight, arrange the car to meet a named sailing.
Neither the local ferry nor any bus accepts responsibility for a missed flight. Build the transport chain with recovery time or place one provider in charge of it.
Start with airline check-in and bag-drop requirements. Work backwards through the road leg, ferry crossing, boarding queue and Antiparos pickup.
Give the driver a specific Antiparos ferry, not only a rough arrival time. Agree the meeting pin and what happens if that sailing is delayed.
Frequent service creates recovery options, but only before the flight deadline. One earlier crossing is cheaper than a missed flight.
One booking coordinates Antiparos pickup, ferry and Pounta road leg
The operator collects at the Antiparos address or legal meeting point, then either crosses in one vehicle or hands over to a waiting Paros-side vehicle at Pounta. The booking ends at airport departures, not at the ferry landing.
Supply the flight number, airline check-in deadline, accommodation, passenger and bag count. Require the quote to state the chosen ferry, included ferry fares, handoff plan and response to a ferry delay.
The efficient split journey when Antiparos Town is walkable
Reach Antiparos port, take the Pounta ferry and meet the named driver at the Paros landing. The airport is close enough to make the direct Pounta road leg logical; do not ride north to Parikia first.
Tell the driver which Antiparos sailing you will take and agree where the car waits. Keep the driver number available during boarding. Ferry tickets are sold onboard without reservation.
Ferry and two buses; inexpensive but a long backtrack
Take the Antiparos–Pounta ferry, change to Pounta–Parikia KTEL, then change again for Parikia–Airport. This goes north before returning south because the dated KTEL board has no direct Pounta–Airport line.
Match three live schedules and still leave check-in margin. There is no protected connection at Pounta or Parikia. Buy KTEL tickets before boarding where possible and the ferry ticket onboard.
Direct only when airport return and ferry use are both authorised
Drive to Antiparos port, cross with the vehicle at Pounta and continue directly to the airport. Allow vehicle boarding and rental-return time in addition to airline check-in.
Obtain written confirmation that the car may cross between Paros and Antiparos, remains insured and can be returned at the airport at the required hour.
These observations are anecdotal, not official schedules or price guarantees. We use them to expose recurring friction, then verify the underlying facts against operator and government sources.
An Antiparos return-transfer discussion consistently recommends asking the accommodation or arrival driver to book a taxi meeting the ferry at Pounta. Reported prices are old and are not used here; the useful point is the coordinated handoff.
Read the discussion · Tripadvisor Antiparos forumA 2026 Paros travel thread asks whether reaching the airport early is easy. The recurring uncertainty supports publishing exact first-ferry and first-bus constraints instead of a generic claim that transport is available.
Read the discussion · Reddit /r/ParosTravel, 2026Take the Antiparos–Pounta ferry and use a pre-booked vehicle directly from Pounta to the airport. The current public bus route goes via Parikia and adds two unprotected connections.
The operator timetable in force from 24 July 2026 lists 06:10. Check again for your date because ferry timetables change seasonally and older municipal summaries show a different time.
Not many. The first current ferry is 06:10, the first Pounta–Parikia bus on the 25 August–10 September board is 07:50, and another change is required for the airport. Compare the full chain with airline check-in; use a direct Pounta vehicle or sleep on Paros when the margin is unsafe.
