The first bus is not early enough for every flight
The first Naoussa departure on the board valid 25 August–10 September is 07:00 and still requires a change in Parikia. Compare the complete journey with check-in, not only the flight departure time.
Paros departure guide
No direct KTEL bus on the dated board; public transport changes in Parikia
For a morning flight, the departure direction needs more planning than the arrival. The dated public route is Naoussa to Parikia, then Parikia to the airport. The first Naoussa bus is 07:00 and the first airport-bound bus from Parikia is 07:10, so an early flight usually calls for a pre-booked taxi or transfer rather than a hopeful connection.

The dated 25 August–10 September KTEL board has no direct airport bus: change in Parikia, or use a taxi or pre-booked transfer. The late-arrival cutoff, taxi-rank reality and central Naoussa drop-off restrictions.
Open guideA simple direct beach bus when both directions are planned together. All six dated departures, the 18:15 final return, correct-stop checks, taxis, round-trip transfers and car options.
Open guideA direct KTEL route for most daytime and evening ferries, with 31 dated departures from 07:00 to 01:30. How to plan backwards from ferry check-in, allow for the correct gate and handle departures too early for the first bus.
Open guideKTEL requires three buses via Naoussa and Parikia, with the first Santa Maria service at 11:15 and only eight dated airport departures from Parikia. Flight check-in planning and when one confirmed direct vehicle is the sensible option.
Open guideTime-sensitive timetable
The KTEL board valid 25 August–10 September 2026 lists 31 Naoussa–Parikia departures from 07:00 to 01:30, but Parikia–Airport only at 07:10, 08:40, 10:10, 11:30, 13:30, 15:10, 17:10 and 20:00. These are separate tickets and there is no protected connection. Build the plan from the airport bus backwards, then allow airport check-in time.
Our practical verdict
Use KTEL for a later flight only when one of the eight airport departures leaves a comfortable check-in margin after the Naoussa connection. For an early flight, several bags, children or a non-central pickup, pre-book a transfer and agree the exact meeting point. A taxi from the rank can work, but a flight is the wrong occasion to depend on an unreserved car appearing.
Two buses; cheap, but the airport timetable controls the journey
Naoussa bus + unprotected wait + airport bus
Direct and metered when a car is confirmed
Direct; traffic and pickup point dependent
Fixed pickup and vehicle capacity for a flight deadline
Direct; pickup buffer agreed in advance
Direct if your existing hire ends at the terminal
Drive + refuelling + vehicle return
The first Naoussa departure on the board valid 25 August–10 September is 07:00 and still requires a change in Parikia. Compare the complete journey with check-in, not only the flight departure time.
A late or full Naoussa bus does not make the airport bus wait. Leave a recovery departure or use a direct vehicle when missing the flight is costly.
Ask for the exact road-accessible pickup pin and walking time, particularly with luggage in central Naoussa.
Departure time is not the planning target. Start with the airline's check-in requirement, then add the terminal arrival buffer and transport risk.
Use the airline's instruction for your flight and baggage. The small airport does not remove check-in or bag-drop cutoffs.
There are only 8 Parikia–Airport departures on the dated board. Select one that reaches the terminal safely, then select an earlier Naoussa connection rather than the tightest possible one.
Pedestrian lanes and seasonal restrictions can put the vehicle outside the hotel door. Save the named road point and driver contact before the departure morning.
Two buses; cheap, but the airport timetable controls the journey
Take Naoussa–Parikia to the main station beside the port, then change for Paros Airport. There is no direct Naoussa–Airport service on the dated board and the second bus does not wait for the first.
Choose the Parikia–Airport departure that reaches the terminal before your airline's check-in cutoff, then choose an earlier Naoussa bus with recovery time. Buy before boarding where possible; KTEL says onboard tickets cost more and onboard payment is card-only.
Direct and metered when a car is confirmed
Arrange the taxi to meet at a legal vehicle point outside any pedestrian lane. The national tariff is metered, with airport, luggage and night additions where applicable. There is no official fixed Naoussa–Airport route price.
Call the Naoussa rank before travel and repeat the pickup time, flight time, passenger count and bags. For a very early pickup, confirm the booking again the evening before.
Fixed pickup and vehicle capacity for a flight deadline
The provider agrees a pickup point and time based on the flight, loads the declared bags and drives directly to departures. This removes the Parikia change and the risk of no vehicle being available at the rank.
Provide the flight number, airline check-in guidance, exact accommodation and every bag. Ask whether the quote includes an out-of-hours charge, child seats and pickup from the closest legal road point.
Direct if your existing hire ends at the terminal
Leave central Naoussa from the agreed parking area, refuel under the contract terms and return the vehicle at the named airport desk or off-site lot. The rental return step must be added before airline check-in time.
Confirm the return location, office opening time, key-drop procedure, fuel rule and inspection process. Do not assume a Naoussa rental office accepts an airport return without a fee.
These observations are anecdotal, not official schedules or price guarantees. We use them to expose recurring friction, then verify the underlying facts against operator and government sources.
A July 2026 Paros logistics thread asked whether the then-published first Naoussa bus was safe for a 07:00 ferry. The exact time has since changed, but the risk applies more strongly to a flight: a timetable match is not the same as a protected connection or completed check-in.
Read the discussion · Reddit /r/GreeceTravel, July 2026An older but still relevant Naoussa discussion reports hotels arranging taxis for very early flights. Treat that as a practical booking route, not proof that a taxi will be waiting without a reservation.
Read the discussion · Tripadvisor Naoussa forumNot on the dated KTEL board valid 25 August–10 September 2026. Take Naoussa–Parikia and change to one of 8 Parikia–Airport departures. The connection is not protected.
Only if the complete two-bus journey reaches the terminal before your airline's check-in cutoff with recovery time. The first Naoussa bus on the dated board is 07:00 and the first Parikia–Airport bus is 07:10, which is too late for some early departures.
That depends on seasonal traffic restrictions and the accommodation's road access. Ask for a named meeting point or map pin and the walking distance from the hotel.
