20:20 is the dated board's last airport bus, not a year-round promise
That exact departure applies from 25 August through 10 September 2026. KTEL publishes seasonal replacement boards, so use the live timetable index outside those dates.
Paros arrival guide
No direct bus appears on the dated KTEL board
For a direct arrival, use a taxi or a pre-booked transfer. The public-transport route works, but the dated KTEL board requires a change in Parikia: airport bus to Parikia, then the frequent Parikia–Naoussa service. The airport leg is the one to plan around, especially after 20:00.

There is no direct KTEL airport bus on the dated board: change in Parikia, reserve a taxi or book a transfer. Exact public-transport departures, early-flight limits and the check-in margin that matters.
Open guideA strong direct-transfer route because KTEL needs three buses via Parikia and Naoussa. Exact connection times, the dated 18:00 final-leg cutoff and why a Naoussa quote is not a Santa Maria quote.
Open guideRoad to west-coast Pounta, then a seven-minute car ferry. Through-transfer checks, the three-stage public route, late flights, rental-car permission and the final Antiparos connection.
Open guideOne of Paros's easiest public routes: 30 dated direct buses from the port-side station. Ferry-delay margins, luggage, taxi-rank reality and when the final hotel address makes a transfer worthwhile.
Open guideTime-sensitive timetable
The dated board lists 7 Airport–Parikia departures, with the last at 20:20, and 30 Parikia–Naoussa departures from 07:25 to 01:10. It does not list a direct Airport–Naoussa bus. These exact times apply only from 25 August through 10 September, so open the live index outside that window.
Our practical verdict
Use KTEL when your flight lands with a comfortable margin before the last airport bus and you are travelling light. Pre-book a transfer for late arrivals, children, several bags or a hotel inside Naoussa's restricted centre. A taxi can be efficient, but do not build a tight plan around finding one immediately after a busy flight.
The budget route: two buses and one change at the main Parikia station
30 min to Parikia, plus connection and second bus
Direct and metered, but the rank can empty after busy arrivals
Direct; traffic dependent
Meet-and-greet and a confirmed vehicle for the full route
Direct; traffic dependent
Useful for an island-wide stay, not only this airport run

Recent travellers describe taxis at some flight arrivals but also waits when several passengers need cars together. Pre-book when a missed pickup creates a real problem.
Seasonal traffic restrictions protect central Naoussa. Ask the hotel for the nearest legal vehicle stop and walking distance before choosing luggage.
This is a connection, not one through bus. Leave margin because KTEL does not promise a protected connection.
Open the dated KTEL board for your travel date. A flight landing before the listed departure is not enough; allow time to disembark and collect bags.
The airport authority gives about 30 minutes to Parikia. Keep your ticket and ask where the Naoussa queue forms at the main station.
Peak-season departures are frequent, but crowds after ferry arrivals can affect boarding. The Naoussa stop may not be at your hotel, especially inside the pedestrian centre.
The budget route: two buses and one change at the main Parikia station
Board the Airport–Parikia bus outside the terminal. At Parikia, change at the KTEL station for Naoussa. Do not rely on older summaries that describe a direct summer airport bus; it does not appear on the dated board.
Buy before boarding when possible. KTEL says onboard tickets cost more and onboard payment is card-only. The published minimum full ticket is €2.20 and the daily island ticket is €12, but verify which product suits both legs.
Direct and metered, but the rank can empty after busy arrivals
Use the official rank outside arrivals. Greek taxi fares are regulated and metered, with airport, luggage and night supplements where applicable. The airport authority's approximate €20 figure is only for Parikia, not Naoussa.
Queue at the rank or call a municipal dispatch number. If a driver offers a fixed amount instead of the meter, confirm the complete price before loading bags.
Meet-and-greet and a confirmed vehicle for the full route
The driver meets the flight, carries the agreed luggage and takes you to the closest legal drop-off for the accommodation. A good booking states the flight number, luggage, child-seat needs and waiting policy.
Compare complete vehicle quotes, not a vague starting price. Ask what happens after a flight delay and where the vehicle can stop in central Naoussa.
Useful for an island-wide stay, not only this airport run
Collect at or near the airport and drive north. Central Naoussa has seasonal traffic restrictions, so your final step may be from a public parking area rather than the hotel door.
Confirm pickup location, excess, fuel policy and after-hours procedure. Reserve the smallest vehicle that holds every passenger and bag.
These observations are anecdotal, not official schedules or price guarantees. We use them to expose recurring friction, then verify the underlying facts against operator and government sources.
In a June–July 2026 discussion, recent visitors described the main Paros bus system as excellent, while also warning that shoulder-season schedules become less frequent and may be published close to the change date.
Read the discussion · Tripadvisor, June–July 2026Multiple forum contributors report that cars often meet flights, but queues and empty ranks do occur. They also report a wider range of private transfer cars and vans than licensed taxis. This is anecdotal, but it matches the island's limited licensed fleet.
Read the discussion · Tripadvisor traveller discussionNot on the dated KTEL board valid 25 August–10 September 2026. The public route changes in Parikia. Check the live timetable index because seasonal boards change.
Taxis often serve arrivals, but availability is not guaranteed. Busy flights can create a queue, and the island has a limited licensed fleet. Pre-book if timing, mobility or luggage makes a wait unacceptable.
Not necessarily. Seasonal traffic restrictions and pedestrian lanes can require a legal drop-off outside the centre. Ask the accommodation for its named meeting point and walking distance.
