Paros departure guide
Direct by road; public transport needs three buses via Naoussa and Parikia
For a flight departure, a pre-booked transfer or confirmed taxi is usually the sensible route. KTEL requires Santa Maria–Naoussa, Naoussa–Parikia and Parikia–Airport. The first Santa Maria bus is 11:15 and only eight dated airport buses leave Parikia, so public transport cannot serve an early flight and provides few robust daytime combinations.

A strong direct-transfer route because KTEL needs three buses via Parikia and Naoussa. Exact connection times, the dated 18:00 final-leg cutoff and why a Naoussa quote is not a Santa Maria quote.
Open guideSix dated direct buses make daytime visits easy, but the service ends at 18:15. How to plan dinner, nightlife, a round-trip transfer and the return before leaving the hotel.
Open guidePublic transport needs two separate buses via Naoussa and starts only at 11:15 on the dated board. Exact daytime planning, unprotected connections and why a direct vehicle is the reliable choice for a morning ferry.
Open guideThere is no direct KTEL airport bus on the dated board: change in Parikia, reserve a taxi or book a transfer. Exact public-transport departures, early-flight limits and the check-in margin that matters.
Open guideTime-sensitive timetable
Santa Maria–Naoussa runs at 11:15, 12:45, 14:30, 15:15, 16:15 and 18:15. Continue to Parikia, then use one of eight Parikia–Airport buses at 07:10, 08:40, 10:10, 11:30, 13:30, 15:10, 17:10 and 20:00. All changes are unprotected.
Our practical verdict
This is exactly the kind of departure route where one confirmed vehicle protects time and luggage. Use KTEL only when the flight is late enough for three separate services plus the airline's full check-in margin and at least one recovery option.
Three separate buses and two unprotected changes
Three rides plus two timetable-dependent waits
Direct Santa Maria–Paros Airport journey when the vehicle is confirmed
Direct road journey; traffic dependent
One confirmed vehicle from the accommodation to the terminal
Direct road journey
Useful only when the vehicle also serves the wider stay
Direct drive plus return formalities

The first dated Santa Maria bus is 11:15, before two more unprotected legs. Reserve a direct vehicle for morning flights and for any chain that cannot retain a recovery option.
The three-bus route is possible only for selected daytime flights. A mathematically possible connection without recovery time is not a safe airport plan.
Use the airline's required arrival time and work backwards from a Parikia–Airport bus, not from flight departure alone.
Match Naoussa–Parikia, then Santa Maria–Naoussa, leaving a recovery service at each stage. If one stage has no fallback, the chain is too fragile.
Share the flight, check-in deadline, exact property pin, passengers and bags. Require the pickup time and airport drop-off instructions in writing.
Three separate buses and two unprotected changes
Travel Santa Maria–Naoussa, change for Parikia, then change again for the airport. Build the entire chain backwards from airline check-in and leave a recovery service at both changes.
Plan backwards from airline check-in, not departure time. Buy tickets before boarding where possible; onboard tickets cost more and payment is by card.
Direct Santa Maria–Paros Airport journey when the vehicle is confirmed
Reserve a licensed taxi and share the exact accommodation pin, passenger count, every bag and departure details. Do not rely on finding an unreserved car at the last moment.
Confirm the pickup time in writing and state the airline check-in deadline. Ask about luggage, airport supplements and waiting policy.
One confirmed vehicle from the accommodation to the terminal
The driver collects from the exact Santa Maria property and travels directly to the operator-confirmed airport drop-off point, avoiding two changes and three luggage handoffs.
Send flight number, airline check-in time, property pin, passengers and every bag. Confirm pickup time, delay or waiting policy, child seats and exact airport drop-off instructions.
Useful only when the vehicle also serves the wider stay
Drive to the relevant return point and allow time for fuel, inspection, keys and the walk or shuttle to the terminal.
Confirm the exact return office, opening hours, after-hours procedure and whether the company provides a terminal shuttle.

A July 2026 Reddit logistics thread discusses how little margin an early Parikia departure can leave. It is anecdotal reporting, but the useful lesson is sound: use the ferry or airline check-in time, not only the scheduled departure, and keep a recovery option.
