Paros departure guide
Direct public bus to the port-side station; early ferries still need another plan
This is an easy direct bus route for most daytime and evening ferries. The dated board lists 31 Naoussa–Parikia departures from 07:00 to 01:30, but a 07:00 first bus cannot safely serve the earliest ferries once check-in and the walk to the correct gate are included.

One of Paros's easiest public routes: 30 dated direct buses from the port-side station. Ferry-delay margins, luggage, taxi-rank reality and when the final hotel address makes a transfer worthwhile.
Open guideA simple direct beach bus when both directions are planned together. All six dated departures, the 18:15 final return, correct-stop checks, taxis, round-trip transfers and car options.
Open guideThere is no direct KTEL airport bus on the dated board: change in Parikia, reserve a taxi or book a transfer. Exact public-transport departures, early-flight limits and the check-in margin that matters.
Open guidePublic transport needs two separate buses via Naoussa and starts only at 11:15 on the dated board. Exact daytime planning, unprotected connections and why a direct vehicle is the reliable choice for a morning ferry.

Our practical verdict
For a daytime ferry, the direct bus is usually the best-value option. For an early departure, a large group, substantial luggage or a restrictive onward ticket, reserve a taxi or transfer and give the provider the ferry company, check-in deadline and exact Naoussa pickup pin.
Direct, frequent and usually the best-value option
Direct road leg plus the walk to the ferry gate
Direct Naoussa–Parikia Port journey when the vehicle is confirmed
Direct road journey; traffic dependent
One confirmed vehicle from the accommodation to the terminal
Direct road journey
Useful only when the vehicle also serves the wider stay
Direct drive plus return formalities
This is a dated operator board. Travellers on 24 August or after 10 September must open the live KTEL page and rebuild the connection before travel.
The dated first departure is 07:00. If that does not leave the carrier's full check-in margin and a recovery option, reserve a taxi or transfer or stay in Parikia the previous night.
The bus reaches the port-side station, not a protected ferry connection. Work backwards from the carrier's required check-in time.
Use the operator's booking and check-in instructions. Add time to walk from the bus station with luggage and identify the vessel.
Do not use the last mathematical connection. Leave at least one recovery departure when the ferry ticket matters.
For an early ferry or a large party, confirm a vehicle and exact pickup time before the final evening.
Direct, frequent and usually the best-value option
Board in Naoussa and get off at the main KTEL station beside Parikia port. Identify the onward ferry and gate before leaving Naoussa because the port extends beyond the bus stop.
Plan backwards from ferry check-in, not departure time. Buy tickets before boarding where possible; onboard tickets cost more and payment is by card.
Direct Naoussa–Parikia Port journey when the vehicle is confirmed
Reserve a licensed taxi and share the exact accommodation pin, passenger count, every bag and departure details. Do not rely on finding an unreserved car at the last moment.
Confirm the pickup time in writing and state the ferry check-in deadline. Ask about luggage, port supplements and waiting policy.
One confirmed vehicle from the accommodation to the terminal
The driver collects from the exact Naoussa address and drops at the closest legal point for the named ferry gate. This removes the station walk and protects the planned pickup, not the onward ticket.
Send ferry company, departure and required check-in time, accommodation pin, passengers and every bag. Confirm the terminal drop-off instructions and waiting policy.
Useful only when the vehicle also serves the wider stay
Drive to the relevant return point and allow time for fuel, inspection, keys and the walk or shuttle to the terminal.
Confirm the exact return office, opening hours, after-hours procedure and whether the company provides a terminal shuttle.

A July 2026 Reddit logistics thread discusses how little margin an early Parikia departure can leave. It is anecdotal reporting, but the useful lesson is sound: use the ferry or airline check-in time, not only the scheduled departure, and keep a recovery option.
Read the discussion · Reddit /r/GreeceTravel, July 2026A June–July 2026 forum discussion describes the main Paros bus service as good or excellent and notes that replacement seasonal timetables can appear close to the change date. Treat this as anecdotal traveller reporting and use the dated operator PDF for the exact journey.
Read the discussion · Tripadvisor Naoussa forum, June–July 2026Yes. The dated 25 August–10 September board lists 31 direct Naoussa–Parikia departures from 07:00 to 01:30. Recheck the live board for other dates.
Not every early ferry. The first dated bus leaves at 07:00, and you still need the carrier's check-in margin and time to reach the correct gate. Reserve a vehicle or stay in Parikia when that margin is not possible.
No. KTEL and the ferry are separate operators. Leave a real buffer and one recovery option.
