Traditional Barbecue Experience at a Mykonian Farm (3.5 Hours)

No reviews yet3.5hEasyEnglishFamily friendlyBy request · confirmed within 24hSmall group · max 10

This 3.5-hour experience takes you away from Mykonos town and into the island's rural interior, where a working farm serves as the setting for both a hands-on agricultural tour and a full barbecue cooking session. The afternoon begins with a welcome of traditional Greek snacks and raki, followed by an introduction to the farm's history and its approach to organic livestock and vegetable cultivation. During the farm tour, you meet the animals and walk through the organic vegetable garden. Guests who want to get involved can take part in farming tasks, collect eggs from the henhouse, and harvest seasonal produce. The pace is relaxed and the setting is genuinely rural — a contrast to the beach clubs and harbour bars that define much of the Mykonos experience. The main event is the Hellenic Barbecue Feast. Working alongside an experienced grill man, you prepare high-quality meats over the coals, mix a Horiatiki salad using vegetables from the garden, make tzatziki from scratch, and cook a Mykonian sausage omelet with eggs you collected yourself. Dinner is served under a shaded pavilion with unlimited local wine and traditional beverages included. Pickup and drop-off from your hotel or the cruise ship port are included in the price. A surcharge of €10 per person applies for hotels in more remote areas of the island such as Elia, Kalafatis, Agrari, Panormos, and Super Paradise. The tour runs daily from March through November and is suitable for all ages, including families with young children. Infants under four attend free of charge.
