Sunset Catamaran Cruise to Skaleta from Rethymno – 3.5 Hours

This afternoon catamaran cruise departs Rethymno Port at 16:30 and heads east along the coast to Skaleta. Guests are welcomed on board with a glass of Prosecco and Mediterranean finger foods as the catamaran clears the harbour. The sail takes roughly an hour, arriving at the Arch of Skaleta — a natural rock formation carved by wind and sea — where the crew anchors in calm, clear water beneath the golden cliffs. At anchor, guests can snorkel around underwater rock formations using the on-board masks and fins, stand-up paddleboard along the cliff line, or float on the inflatables. A gentle fishing setup is also available on deck. Around 18:00 the crew serves a sushi roll platter, fresh fruit, and children's chicken bao buns on request, while the open bar runs throughout — local white wine, Greek beer, soft drinks, espresso, and detox waters. The catamaran departs Skaleta around 19:00 and sails back on the open water directly into the sunset. The vessel carries a maximum of 25 guests, keeping the deck uncrowded. Wide front sunbeds and shaded lounges provide seating options, and free Wi-Fi and a marine audio system are on board throughout. Note: From 1 April to 14 April, and from 1 September to 31 October, all departures run 30 minutes earlier than scheduled to align with the earlier sunset. Port regulations are strict — the vessel cannot wait for late arrivals, and all passengers must provide full name, date of birth, and passport or ID number at the time of booking. The cruise is weather-dependent; if anchoring at Skaleta is not possible, the catamaran continues along the Rethymno coastline instead.
