This experience is built entirely around two people. Your balloon is private — no other guests share the basket — and the flight is timed to coincide with sunrise over the Lasithi Plateau, the high mountain valley in eastern Crete ringed by traditional stone windmills and cultivated fields. A certified commercial pilot handles all navigation while you and your partner watch the valley come into light from roughly 40 minutes in the air.
Before the flight, you watch the balloon inflate in the quiet of the early morning and receive a personal safety briefing. On landing, the pilot's crew presents a fresh flower bouquet, pours a sparkling wine toast, and hands over a traditional Greek breakfast box of local products. Couples' flight certificates and souvenirs are included.
After the balloon experience, the itinerary moves to a local pottery studio for a private wheel-throwing session. A master craftsman guides you both through the basics of working clay on a traditional potter's wheel. Whatever you make together — a small bowl, a cup, a simple form — is yours to take home. All materials are included.
The meeting point on the Lasithi Plateau is confirmed around 12 hours before departure, based on meteorological conditions. Exact coordinates are sent directly to you. Hotel transfers are not included in the base price but can be arranged separately as a premium add-on from anywhere in Crete. The experience runs April through October, daily, subject to wind conditions. Both guests must provide full names, dates of birth, nationalities, ID numbers, and exact weights at the time of booking for flight-permission documentation.
