Water-Ski & Wakeboard Beginner Course in Corfu

This beginner course at Dassia Ski Club introduces water skiing step by step, starting on dry land and moving into the Ionian Sea. The session opens with a ground lesson covering correct body posture, balance, and safety basics — the same foundations that professional skiers use before entering the water. Once in the water, students start on the boom — a rigid bar fixed to the side of the boat — which provides stability and keeps the instructor close. This setup allows for immediate corrections and builds confidence without the uncertainty of a full tow rope. When a student is ready, they transition to the standard tow line and learn to cross the boat's wakes. Sessions run every 15 minutes throughout the day, so there is no long wait between arrivals and instruction. The progression pace is individual: if you need more time on the boom, you stay there. If you are ready for the line quickly, the instructor moves you forward. No two sessions follow exactly the same path. The Dassia Ski Club operates in front of the Elea Beach Hotel, on a sheltered stretch of coastline in northeast Corfu. The water here is calm and suitable for learning. Participants should bring swimwear. Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited before and during the session.
